Winter in Jamaica is usually mild by day and cool by night. Summer in Jamaica tends to be hot and humid. The average annual temperature varies between 25.5°C and 28°C (77.9°F and 82.4°F)

Jamaica’s rainy season lasts from May to November and peaks in the months of May, June, October and November. Rainy season begins technically in May and runs through December. This also happens to coincide with the Hurricane season. You can expect anywhere from 30-50% chance of rain daily until the rainy season is over. Because of its tropical weather conditions, rains in Jamaica are brief and usually followed by sunshine.

Jamaica belongs to the Caribbean hurricane belt, but sees very few actual hurricanes. In the last fifty years, the island has averaged about one hurricane per decade. So, the chances of experiencing a hurricane while you are on vacation in Jamaica are quite small.

Keep in mind that everything in Jamaica tends to be more expensive during the high season and the island is packed with tourists.
