Public transportation is not very good in Jamaica. In fact, public transportation is not the recommended way to get around Jamaica for tourists. There are local bus services that connect various towns and villages but they tend to be overcrowded, disorganized and their schedules often change.
Jamaican Minibuses
Minibuses are the cheapest form of public transportation in Jamaica. They also tend to be the most crowded form of transportation. To get aboard a minibus, all you have to do is flag them down. However, minibuses are not recommended unless you know where you are going.
