The Toronto Raptors are Toronto’s professional basketball team. The Raptors are part of the Atlantic division of the Eastern conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Raptors were established in 1995, along with the Vancouver Grizzlies as part of the NBA’s expansion into Canada. The Raptors are currently the only Canadian team in the NBA.
Toronto Raptors History
The raptors originally played all of their home games at the SkyDome, which has since been renamed the Rogers Center. In 1999, they moved to the Air Canada Centre, which continues to be their home.

Over the years, the Toronto Raptors have always enjoyed a consistent fan base. Although the Toronto Raptors are nowhere near as popular as the Toronto Maple Leafs, their fans are always loyal and continue to fill Air Canada Centre. In fact, the Toronto Raptors set NBA attendance records in year 2000, 2001 and 2002 seasons when we meet the playoffs in each of the seasons.
