The Nuit blanche à Montréal is the highlight of Montreal’s Montréal en Lumière festival. The “Nuit Blanche”, which stands for All-Nighter in French, invites locals and tourists to enjoy some 200 mostly free activities across various neighborhoods in Montreal. Along with being mostly free, the activities are also linked by a free shuttle service. It is always held on the last Saturday of February.
Almost 15 cities around the world now host their own All-Nighters and Montreal is no exception. Nuit blanche à Montréal features free musical, artistic and culinary activities all night long. This cultural and artistic blitz of over 200 mostly free activities sweeps across several of Montreal’s quartiers (French for neighborhood) : From the “Quartier des Spectacles” and Centre-ville (Downtown), Vieux-Montréal (Old Montreal), Plateau-Mont-Royal and Mile-End, all the way to the Olympic park and the brand new Pôle Ligne Bleue ( Blue Line Pole) ! The festival features an array of activities: visual arts, dance, storytelling, exhibitions, cinema, music, sport, comedy, theatre and free-form fun!
Whether onstage or onscreen, in the great outdoors or under the spotlights, in music or in story, installations, exhibitions or dance, the city lights up the night with a full spectrum of fun and festive discoveries for all during the Nuit Blanche!
