The Montreal International Jazz Festival (Festival International de Jazz de Montréal) is the greatest jazz festival on earth, a festival that captures the hearts and minds of music lovers from around the world for ten delightful days. Entertaining more than 2.1 million spectators annually, the Montreal International Jazz Festival is the meeting place for all things Jazz music as well as for anybody who loves music. Every summer, the International Jazz Festival presents over 650 shows, with some 280 indoor and 370 free shows on 25 different outdoor stages. This represents more than 3,000 musicians from thirty or so countries.

For over 30 years, the Montreal International Jazz Festival has celebrated all forms of Jazz music and offered an exceptional showcase of musician from across the world. During the International Jazz Festival, fans can stroll through an area of Montreal’s downtown core that is closed to vehicular traffic, and the only concern is how you can possibly manage to get to every outdoor stage and pack in as many musical discoveries as possible. The formula of free concerts is utterly unique to Montreal’s International Jazz Festival.
