The Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix is a 3-day motorcycling event that is part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It is held each year at the scenic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, located 120km southeast of Melbourne. The Motorcycle Grand Prix incorporates 6 main categories; MotoGP, Australian Superbikes, Denso Supersports, Glen Cameron Group Aussie 125s, 125cc and 250cc bikes.
Along with the action on the track, the MotoGP provides 3 days of festivities and entertainment off the track as well. Various information sessions are provided, GP simulators are available and there are plenty of occasions for taking your picture with a MotoGP bike. The popular Show n Shine allows motorbike owners from all over Australia the chance to show off their baby. The GP Expo features display media and accessories from various manufacturers like Honda, BMW and Yamaha.

The Island has a reputation for being one of the most unique and breathtaking destinations on the international circuit – with panoramic ocean views and great spectator vantage points all around the track. Originally opened in 1956, the 4.5km circuit staged the second round of the 1989 World Championship and has become a rider favourite over the years.
Various types of travel, accommodation and/or ticket packages are available for the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. There are four Grandstands to choose from when purchasing tickets for the MotoGP and there is also a general admission option. There are two campgrounds at the MotoGP; Highside (caters for motor homes, caravans, cars, tents etc) and Trackside (only bike and tent campers).
