Union Station<\/strong> is Toronto\u2019s central travel hub. Through Union Station, you can connect to TTC<\/a> subways<\/a> and streetcars<\/a>, access GO Transit<\/a> trains and buses as well as VIA Rail trains. There are also plenty of taxicabs<\/a> outside of Union Station so finding a cab around Union Station is quite easy. Serving 200,000 passengers a day, it is the busiest passenger transportation facility in Canada<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Location of Union Station<\/h2>\r\n

Union Station is located in the heart of Toronto\u2019s downtown core, making an ideal place for visitors and locals. Through Union Station, you can access many of Toronto\u2019s top attractions<\/a>, such as the CN Tower<\/a>, Rogers Centre (formerly Skydome)<\/a> and Air Canada Centre<\/a>, home of the Toronto Raptors<\/a> and the Toronto Maple Leafs<\/a>. Guided tours of Union Station are conducted on the last Saturday of each month by the Toronto Railway Historical Association.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Union Station’s Architecture<\/h2>\r\n

Toronto’s Union Station is the largest and most opulent railway station currently existing in Canada. Union Station\u2019s architecture is quite stunning and worth checking out. Union Station is quite large takes up an entire block on Front Street between York Street and Bay Street. Union Station is eight stories tall and features a massive lobby known as the Great Hall<\/strong>, numerous corridors at the top, and a shooting range used by Canadian National Gun Association. <\/p>\r\n\r\n
