The Toronto Maple Leafs<\/strong> are Toronto’s much beloved professional hockey team. They are members of the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Toronto Maple Leafs are part of the Original Six<\/strong>, the original six members of the NHL. Their official name is the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club. <\/p>\r\n\r\n

Although the city of Toronto has many professional sports teams, no other sports team in Toronto is more loved than the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Maple Leafs have not won a championship in many years, but Maple Leaf fans continue to support their team. Tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs are nearly impossible to come by and their home games are constantly sold out. In fact, the Maple Leafs have sold out every single one of their home games since 2002. There is also a large waiting list for season tickets to the Maple Leafs. The last time that the Toronto Maple Leafs won the Stanley Cup was in 1967, making it the longest drought in the NHL.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

The Maple Leafs\u2019 most bitter rival are the Montreal Canadiens<\/a>. The Canadiens have won 24 Stanley Cups, while the Leafs have won 13, putting them at first and second place in NHL history.
