Ontario Place contains more than 96 acres of family fun and entertainment for the entire family to enjoy. The Ontario Place contains 30 exciting rides and attractions, some of which include Froster Soak City, which happens to be Toronto\u2019s only downtown water park, Bumper Boats and the F\/X Adventure Theatre. There is the <strong>Molson Amphitheatre<\/strong>, which is located on the shores of Lake Ontario. It also features the Cinesphere, which happens to be the world\u2019s first permanent IMAX\u00ae theatre.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>History of Ontario Place<\/h2>\r\n<p>Ontario Place opened in 1971 and consists of three artificially constructed, landscaped islands. The attractions of Ontario Place are spread out across the park along with walking trails and concession stands. Many of <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/toronto\/category\/festivals-events\/\">Toronto\u2019s major summer<\/a> events take place in Ontario Place. Some of the major events taking place in Ontario Place include Caribana celebrations, fireworks celebrations and Festival of Fire fireworks celebration.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>Ontario Place: A Family Attraction <\/h2>\r\n<p> Ontario Place has always been a must-see attraction for families and children, with a strong emphasis on children\u2019s activities and seasonal activities. This landmark attraction has been entertaining kids and families for over 40 years. This waterfront paradise has something for everyone to enjoy, including, Froster Soak City\u00ae, Toronto\u2019s only downtown waterpark, Cinesphere, home to the world\u2019s first permanent IMAX\u00ae theatre, and the Treehouse Live! Stage, where kids can catch live performances from their favourite entertainers.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<h2>Visiting Ontario Place<\/h2>\r\n<p>Ontario Place is located approximately 4 km west of Downtown Toronto. It is located on Toronto&#8217;s waterfront, between Dufferin Street and Strachan Avenue.
