This famous avenue starts at Washington Square Park in <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/greenwich-village\">Greenwich Village<\/a> and runs through the heart of <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/midtown-manhattan\/\">Midtown<\/a>, along the eastern side of Central Park, through the Upper East Side and Harlem ad ends at the 142 street.  Many of Manhattan\u2019s most <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/\">popular attractions<\/a>, including <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/empire-state-building\/\">the Empire State Building<\/a>, the New York Public Library, <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/rockefeller-center\">the Rockefeller Center<\/a>, Saint Patrick&#8217;s Cathedral, <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/central-park\/\">Central Park<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/metropolitan-museum-of-art\/\">the Metropolitan Museum of Art<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/guggenheim-museum\">Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum<\/a> are located on this popular avenue.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Fifth Avenue is probably the most popular street in Manhattan street. No visit to New York is complete without a walk along at least part of its length. It is also one of the most expensive streets in the world, in terms of property prices and cost of retail spaces.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Fifth Avenue is one of the premier shopping streets in the world and also one of the most expensive. Fifth Avenue is shopper\u2019s paradise. High end department stores, jewelry stores, clothing and accessories stores, and so much more can be found on this avenue. From Gucci to Prada to Tiffany&#8217;s to Saks to the Disney store, it&#8217;s all on Fifth Avenue. Many of the stores are still pretty upscale and include: Versace, Gucci, Prada, Tiffany &#038; Co., Abercrombie &#038; Fitch, Lindt Chocolate, Lord and Taylor, Saks 5th Avenue, Apple and the ever popular FAO Schwartz toy store. Fifth Avenue is one of the premier shopping streets in the world, on par with Oxford Street in London and the Champs-\u00c9lys\u00e9es in Paris.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>Many of <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/tag\/museums\/\">New York City\u2019s top Museums<\/a> can be found on Fifth Avenue. This includes the <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/guggenheim-museum\">Gugenheim Museum<\/a> along with <a href=\"https:\/\/gotourismguides.com\/nyc\/metropolitan-museum-of-art\/\">the Metropolitan Museum<\/a>.
